CARA PATTISON ~~ PRESIDENT
Cara’s first taste of Africa occurred on her 16th birthday, when she went to visit her grandparents who were living in Burkina Faso. After she graduated from California State University, Chico with a degree in Communication Design, she returned to Africa, this time to Malawi, where she and her husband worked as short-term AIDS educators. Cara served as Bola Moyo’s Executive Director from November 2004 through July 2007. She is the former co-chair of the Portland Area Global AIDS Coalition, and is a current board member and volunteer of Jubilee Oregon. She continues to design Bola Moyo’s newsletters and marketing materials while working full-time in the field of alternative medicine. You can reach Cara on cara[at]bola-moyo.org.
RON KNAPP ~~ TREASURER
Ron is an Executive V.P. at Toyon Associates, Inc. (21 years) a healthcare financial consulting firm located in Northern California working with over 50 non-profit and governmental hospitals. Ron helps manage Toyon’s staff of 36 and is involved with practice development. He has been actively involved in his local church having been on the Pastoral Team, Leadership Board, and as a Pastor to High School students during his 14 years there.
